Our cancellation policy hinges on notice. If you know (or suspect) that you might need to 
                         reschedule 
                         cancel, or 
                         come late 
we ask that you let us know as soon as possible, whether in person, by phone or by email. The more notice you give us, the better.

Note 1 - Holidays and Work Commitments: We accommodate up to five sessions a year for holidays and unavoidable work commitments that

     (1) prevent you from attending scheduled sessions; AND

     (2) make it impossible to reschedule before your next scheduled session.

We ask that you give us as much notice of these situations as possible. If work or holidays require you to cancel more frequently, we need to talk about the commitment required for this work and about payments for holding the space for you. 
Clients can minimize gaps in continuity by taking their holidays when we take ours. To facilitate this option, we post our holiday dates as soon as we know them.

Note 2 - Serious Illness: a serious illness is one that keeps you from meeting other important
commitments such as work.  ‘Under the weather’? Come to your session. It’s a good time to do therapy because your defenses are down.

Note 3 - No Shows - If you do not arrive on time and we have received no notice, we will wait
fifteen minutes before treating it as a cancellation with no notice.

Exceptions: We are always open to discussing extenuating circumstances.
